Supported by the Environment and Resources Authority, the July clean-up saw an impressive tally of debris collected including 78kg of plastic, 56.12kg of ropes and fishing gear, 15kg of glass, 128.9kg of metal, and 295.48kg of mixed waste, totalling 573.50kg.

This effort was part of Esplora Interactive Science Centre's Island Guardians project. The clean-up not only aimed to restore the bay's natural beauty but also highlighted the ongoing commitment to marine conservation.

Looking ahead, Żibel plans to recycle the ocean plastics collected, contributing further to sustainable practices.

The success of this clean-up highlights the collective effort needed to preserve our oceans for future generations.

Well done to all the volunteers!
