Wednesday 30th June: Malta registers 5 new cases & 0 recoveries

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered five new cases of COVID-19 after 2,374 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered zero more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 30,158 and the number of active cases to 45. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 30,623 cases and has performed 985,629 swab tests. Thankfully, no deaths have been registered over the past 24 hours, meaning the local death toll remains at 420. 

The post also noted that until yesterday, 29th June, 664,859 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 358,168 of these were first doses while 320,604 people are now fully vaccinated.
