In a heartfelt announcement on Facebook, Garam Masalaa, a beloved Indian restaurant in Qawra, has revealed it will be closing its doors on the 30th of June 2024. The decision, described as emotional and difficult, marks the end of a 20-year journey cherished by both patrons and owners, now set for a well-deserved retirement.

Sunil and Katherine, the restaurant owners, expressed their gratitude to all who contributed to their success. They thanked their dedicated staff, past and present, whose hard work and commitment created memorable dining experiences.

‘To our children and family, for their support and help, especially when we were physically unable to be there anymore; you mean the world to us.’

‘To our esteemed clientele,’ the owners wrote, ‘your loyalty and support have been the bedrock of our success.’ They described Garam Masalaa as a second home, where customers became extended family members. Over the years, the restaurant has been a hub for authentic Indian cuisine and warm hospitality, leaving an indelible mark.

Reflecting on their journey, Sunil and Katherine expressed sadness at bidding farewell but also excitement for the future. While their next adventure remains uncertain, they expressed readiness to embrace new opportunities beyond the restaurant.

The closure marks the end of an era for Garam Masalaa but leaves behind fond memories of delicious meals and cherished moments shared among friends and family.
