This incredible montage of vintage photos will have you feeling nostalgic. Chris Grillo, who put together this montage five years ago, posted to the Facebook group Nostalgia Malta this week bringing back the memories.

In his original post, Chris says his friend sent over the amazing early 20th century shots of Malta and he simply had to share. “It was a more innocent age… where the men toiled in the fields and the women toiled in the kitchens at home. Perhaps a slower time, although the gears of war took away many at a young age,” his friend notes.

Chris even wrote the music that is featured in the montage! “I tried to find some fitting music to these brilliant photos. Eventually, finding nothing to satisfy me, I sat down to write my own track.”

The photos feature various spots around the Maltese Islands, including City Gate in Valletta, what was Chalet Point in Sliema, various beaches, Portes des Bombes in Floriana, regatta racers, the Valletta waterfront, horse-drawn carts, the old Maltese bus, St George’s Square, and luzzus, among others.
