Msida will be celebrating the feast of St Joseph this weekend.
A new public space in Msida has officially opened as part of the ongoing Msida Creek project, just in time for the town’s beloved San Ġużepp feast celebrations this weekend.
The space, located right in front of the Parish Church of Msida, has been made accessible following discussions and agreement with local residents and community organisations. It forms part of what will eventually become Msida’s new central square, and is being opened on a temporary basis for use during the festa.

For the first time, local associations are using the area to host family-friendly activities in a safer, more spacious environment. Adequate room has also been allocated for one of the festa’s most traditional spectacles: the ġostra, a slippery pole competition which will have a permanent home in the redesigned Msida Creek project.
This will be a preview of what the Msida residents and visitors have to look forward to – a space where the community can meet, socialise, and enjoy one of the village’s most special weekends of the year.
