WATCH: The ultimate throwback! Incredible footage shows life in Malta in the 1950s
Woah!

Have you ever wondered what life was like years ago and how Malta looked back in the day? This incredible throwback video shows just that!

The footage shows life in Malta in the 1950s, which seems worlds away at this point! Day-to-day tasks are shown, including feeding the chickens, tending to the kids, and washing the clothes.

Other parts of the video show Valletta in all its glory, during a time when soldiers and sailors would walk the streets in a possible search for a lovely lady. There’s something romantic about the '50s, especially with the music playing in the background.

The countryside was in full bloom with old cars buzzing through and families ready to head out for a day in the sun – something we still love to do!

The footage features the Auberge de Castille, breath-taking views of the Grand Harbour, and naval ships docked below the Barrakka Gardens.

Another throwback included the sight of vintage Carnival floats, showing that this annual event was a big part of Maltese society even back in the day.
