We can’t lie, we were all slightly nervous when we read the weather forecast and saw that storms were expected – what with added traffic and the risk of getting a shower as you’re crossing the road.

But, some keen photographers were quick to whip out their cameras and capture the beautiful side of last night's storm, and boy is it a sight for sore eyes!

One person even managed to capture this video of the skies lighting up above Gozo.

Maybe not such a pleasant thing to be caught up in a storm, but these pictures certainly compensate for some of the hassle!
