Turning heads! Sara Saliba becomes first Maltese footballer to join AC Milan Primavera
The rising footballer was also chosen as a substitute on the women’s national team for the Euro 2025 qualifier against Portugal
The local Milan Club has announced that young footballer Sara Saliba has signed with the Primavera sector of the widely popular Serie A club, AC Milan, making her the first ever Maltese player to register with the club.
Her talent is clearly becoming evident to many, as she was handed her senior debut with the women’s national team when coming on as a substitute in the Euro 2025 qualifier against Portugal.
This will be Sara Saliba’s second time playing in Italy, having started last season with Pomigliano but then deciding to return to Malta to join Birkirkara, assisting the local team to clinch the Super Cup, the National League and the Knock Out competition.
