Tuesday 22nd March: 333 test positive for COVID-19 as active cases rise to 2,723

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 333 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 149 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 2,723.

Up until yesterday 1,253,222 vaccine doses were administered in Malta. 348,666 of these are booster doses.

No COVID-19 related deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 624.

A total of 41 patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, one of whom is in ITU.
