We all know how busy Christmas time gets. The decorating, the shopping, planning Christmas dinner... You think you have everything sorted, but then that light bulb goes on. Shoot, you forgot dessert! Well, don’t get your tinsel in a tangle! Just call Levantina, the Middle Eastern inspired eatery in Mriehel, and order some of their delicious sweet treats - they're so divine we dare you not to grab a few extra for yourself to indulge in later!

Cakes

Levantina’s Christmas cake just might beat your nanna’s traditional one (or at least compete for the title!) Covered in a mirror glaze with touches of white chocolate both inside and out, it displays some serious decorating skills.

Levantina’s apple crumble is not your regular crumble. Always in high demand, this scrumptious cake includes a mix of nuts within the crumble to give that extra nutty and crunchy taste. And those green apples on top? Delicious coloured vanilla mousse with mirror glaze. My mouth is watering!

And here's their delightful chocolate cake with a Christmas twist. Rich and delicious, this cake is perfect for a small gathering for one of the many Christmas parties you’re going to have! A popular choice for events, this cake will undoubtedly have people taking about the party for weeks to come!

Can this get any Christmassier? This loaf cake with a nutty and orange zest middle is simply divine - and I would know, I tried it! With white icing dripping down the sides and beautifully decorated, this loaf cake is fantastic for the festivities.

This deliciously moist carrot cake is the ideal gift for any party this Christmas. Coated in cream cheese and mixed nuts, the decoration here is deceptively simple - perfect for the stylish people in your life!

Desserts

I never thought I’d be eating Santa’s belly! And yes, everything in these adorable little desserts is edible! Santa’s belt, the gold foil, the bell, you name it! Made with spicy dark chocolate, honey and a meringue base, these little Santas are light and airy, and will surely tickle your taste buds!

This one is absolutely divine! A chocolate orange portion decorated with different meringues, finished off with an edible chocolate bell, is all you need to impress at your next Christmas gathering!

This Christmas bauble has been described as the future of pastry in Malta. This milky apple (toffee and apple jam base) with cream cheese mousse and madeleine pastry will definitely be a hit at your next Christmas party. Decorated with candied orange and gold almonds, the host will definitely love these! I absolutely suggest you take one (or three) home with you, because they are absolutely exquisite!

Sweet treats

My weakness right there. These gorgeous bonbons are surprising in every way. Both types are hand-painted, with the chocolate ones being brownie bites glazed with golden dust, while those cute red bites are scrumptious caramel fleur de sel with a crunchy middle. They’re so good, I can’t even describe it. You’re going to have to taste it yourself!

For a more traditional sweet treat, you can go for Levantina’s delicious mince pies. Made from sweet pastry with walnuts and a dash of alcohol (because hey, it's the holidays), these nutty mince pies will be the cherry on the cake of your Christmas feast.
