Malta will soon welcome its first Sports Direct store, with the opening set for Thursday 31st July 2025 in Qormi.
The new store will be located at ‘The Landmark’ on Triq l-Iljun, occupying the space that was held by Intersport, close to Lidl and Burger King.
The arrival of the UK-based retailer follows an announcement made in October 2023, when Hudson Malta plc, a prominent local fashion and sportswear distributor, revealed it was in discussions to bring Sports Direct and other Frasers Group brands to the islands.
Sports Direct is known internationally for offering a wide range of sports apparel, footwear, and equipment, stocking major brands such as Nike, Puma, Under Armour, and Asics under one roof.
