The typically closed Hal Millieri Annunciation chapel set to be open to the public this Sunday

The Hal Millieri chapel of the annunciation, which has recently restored by Din l-Art Helwa, is set to welcome visitors this Sunday 26th March for an open day.
The chapel is typically only open to the public by appointment due to its delicate nature.

This place of worship dates to the medieval period and is even home to 15th century frescos.
The day will start off with a Holy Mass being celebrated at 10am. This will then be followed by a talk about the history of the chapel and its Byzantine cycle at 11am. The same talk will be repeated at 4pm.
For those who are unfamiliar with where the chapel is exactly, it can be found by taking the third turning right off Blue Grotto Road outside Zurrieq and then taking the third turning again into a picturesque rural lane.
Those who wish to attend will be happy to know it is free but donations towards the upkeep of the chapel are encouraged.
