In an effort to find out what the best place are to get the best sushi in Malta, we asked GuideMeMalta’s readers to tell us where their favourite restaurants to get sushi is.

Malta’s sushi enthusiasts have now spoken, and they have revealed the island's 12 must-visit spots for when you’re desperately in the mood for this tasty Japanese meal.

1. Okurama, St Julian’s and San Gwann

Located in both St Julian’s and San Gwann, this sushi joint is widely known for their 'All you can eat' sushi that has a been a hit with many locals throughout the years.

2. Hugo’s Lounge, St Julian’s

Found right in the heart of Malta’s partying village, Hugo’s Lounge is the perfect pit stop to fuel up before you hit the clubs and dance the night away.

3. TemptAsian Restaurant and Lounge, Sliema

Sushi and stunning views of Malta’s beautiful waters? Sign me up.

4. Yaki Sushi, Iklin

Located off the tourist path, diners are bound to have a memorable experience at Yaki.

5. Ocean Basket, Valletta and Qawra

Ocean Basket is a paradise for all seafood lovers, so of course they serve some delicious sushi.

6. Alma, Sliema

Having just recently opened, this restaurant serves everything from pasta to burgers and sushi but their 'All you can eat' sushi is a must.

7. Amami, Mellieha

Named after the archipelago of small islands located in Kyushu, Japan, you can most definitely expect an authentic dining experience at Amami.

8. Hanabi, Birkirkara

This sushi restaurant might be a small one, but it packs a punch.

9. Yume Fusion, Victoria, Gozo

Moving on to Gozo, head down to Yume Fusion and enjoy some reasonably priced sushi that will leave you wanting for more.

10. S:UN, Valletta

This Valletta restaurant not only offers some of the tastiest sushi on the island but has a great happy hour with many Japanese inspired cocktails with Soju and Sake.

11. Wagyu Bar & Kitchen, Valletta, Paceville, Gozo and Mellieha

Probably one of the most frequented sushi joints in Malta and for good reason. Here you can enjoy some incredible sushi in a stylish environment.

12. Hi Sushi, Valletta waterfront

The Valletta waterfront is one of the most beautiful places in all of Malta, so if you’re craving sushi while there, head to Hi Sushi. They also offer an ‘All you can eat’ sushi menu.
