The reactions of every Maltese student after receiving their Os and As!
Accurate AF.

Today is the day! Sec (O Level) and Matsec (A Level and Intermediate) results are officially out. This morning was possibly one of the most nerve-wracking days any local student would go through, and here are seven possible reactions they’re experiencing right now.

1. YAS!

Wooo! You’ve passed everything and you do the obvious: call up your friends, parents, nanna, and the neighbour’s dog who sat up with you during those long nights to share the happy news! (Or head back to bed as I did!)

2. Damn it…

Shit. That one subject held you down. You passed (ish) but it’s not the grade you wanted, so you’re a little bummed this morning.

3. Huh?

Wait? Is this real? Matsec have a reputation of sending out messages about surveys and meetings before sending out results, giving every student the fright of their lives. So it’s no wonder students would question whether it’s true or not.

4. Is this a joke?

“Damn, I should have studied more,” is something at least a handful of students each year have said, after receiving their results.

5. That godforsaken moment

That one subject that you KNEW wasn’t going to turn out great, didn’t, and now you have to study for a resit. Summer officially screwed.

6. Are you KIDDING me?

You were so close. SO CLOSE!! You were just a few marks shy of that grade you needed. #Pissed

7. What's next?

You’ve got the grades you needed and now it’s time to take the next step: choosing subjects for Sixth Form or MCAST or applying for your desired University course.

Best of luck to all those who are receiving their results this morning!
