Birgufest & Birgu by candelight

Get thrown back in time in Birgu. The picturesque walled city, one of Malta's oldest and most historic, becomes a stage for culture and art. Wander through the narrow, winding streets to find a historical reenactment here and a music ensemble there. The joys inside museums and historical buildings can be experienced at a discounted price, while residents open the doors to their extraordinary homes so you can peek inside. Enjoy exhibitions, concerts and Maltese food. And, on Saturday night, expect nothing but candlelight.

Malta Classic Mdina Grand Prix

Feel the excitement rise as the racing begins. Gape in awe at the amazing performance of drivers and classic automobiles on this challenging circuit, which is set in the picturesque landscape outside Mdina's fortified walls. Eight to ten classic beauties make tight bends and sweeping curves at a thrilling pace to the finish line. From the test runs, right up to the award-giving ceremony, you'll be left feeling breathless.
Rolex Middle Sea Race

How do you make a sailing race exciting? Organise it in windier autumn conditions rather than those prevailing in the Maltese summer. How do you make a sailing circuit absolutely stunning? Start and finish it in the Grand Harbour in Malta and do a clockwise circumnavigation of Sicily, including Lampedusa, Pantelleria and the Egadian and Eolian islands, placing an active volcano among the marks of the course. Go wave a hanky and wish them luck! And, make it a point to also enjoy the Rolex Middle Sea Race Coastal Race on 16 October.
