We’re stepping back in time with a nostalgic sight! The Facebook page OC Photography posted beautiful photos of a 1962 Bedford SB bus, painted in the traditional grey colour of Gozo buses.
This iconic vehicle holds a rich history, having served as a bus in Birkirkara from 1964 to 1974 before finding its way to the picturesque Maltese Island of Gozo, where it operated until 2011.
In a delightful transformation, the beloved bus was given a new purpose in 2019 when it was converted into a mobile souvenir shop. Now, visitors and locals alike can discover this charming piece of Maltese transportation heritage at either Sliema Ferries or Valletta Grand Harbour.
Stepping inside the converted bus, you'll find an array of unique souvenirs and mementoes, capturing the essence of Malta's rich culture and history. It's a one-of-a-kind experience infused with nostalgia and the spirit of travel.
