The iconic young detective is heading to our shores! ‘Enola Holmes 3’, the third chapter in Netflix’s hit franchise starring Millie Bobby Brown, has begun production – and this time, the action is unfolding right here in Malta.

Following the success of ‘Enola Holmes’ and ‘Enola Holmes 2’, this highly anticipated sequel takes the brilliant young sleuth on a new mystery that leads her to the Mediterranean. Malta will act as backdrop to the film’s plot, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see the role our little island will play on the big screen.

While much of the storyline is still under wraps, what we do know is that Enola finds herself drawn to Malta, where she becomes entangled in a case that’s even more twisted and dangerous than anything she’s faced before. With personal stakes on the line and professional ambitions at play, the mystery promises to test every bit of her detective skills.

Of course, Sherlock’s younger sister won’t be alone — the film will also dive into the next stage of her relationship with Tewkesbury (played by Louis Partridge from the TV show ‘Disclaimer’), offering both adventure and heart. Onscreen will be some other familiar favourites, including Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes.

Even more exciting – the film is directed and written by the team that brought ‘Adolescence’ to our TV screens – Philip Barantini and returning writer Jack Thorne, based on Nancy Springer’s beloved book series.

There’s no official release date just yet, but filming is well underway. Stay tuned – or, as Enola might say, ‘the game is afoot!’
