The displays are insane! Photos from last year’s Santa Marija feast in Mqabba prove they rule the sky

Mqabba is considered among the top localities in Malta for its spectacular and stunning fireworks displays, and this week, along with several other towns and villages across Malta and Gozo, it’s pulling out all the stops for the feast of St Mary.

Officially named the Socjeta Santa Marija u Banda Re Gorg V, this band club leaves no stone unturned to put on a display of light that stuns anyone who visits.

In recent years, Socjeta Santa Marija has outdone itself with the Tower of Light, a 57-metre high tower loaded with explosives that illuminate the night skies, and this year will be no different.
