Mark your calendars, folks!

The annual Dingli 10 event, considered as one of the most prestigious races on the local athletic calendar, is back for another year next week! And this year, they’re celebrating a big milestone – 30 years since the first Dingli 10.

The race

Every year, the Dingli 10, now called the Lisa Maria Memorial Dingli 10, happens on 19th March – a public holiday on the Maltese Islands that celebrates the feast of St Joseph. The race is organised by St Patrick’s Athletic Club and aims at raising awareness about safeguarding children and the young.

The Lisa Maria Memorial Dingli 10 encompasses five events in total: a 10 mile (16.1km) Race or Walkathon, a newly introduced 10km Race or Walk, and a 2km Fun Run for kids. There’s something for all the family!

Last year, about 700 athletes participated across the various events related to the Dingli 10. The Road Races and Walkathons will start near the entrance of Gnien il-Haddiem in Triq il-Maddalena, Dingli and medals will be awarded to all finishers!
