Temperatures continue to drop! October brings Malta & Gozo a taste of autumn glory with a minimum of 16°C
After a long, sweltering summer across the Maltese Islands, the past week has finally delivered the cooler air so many of us were longing for – and it seems like the autumn vibes are here to stay, at least for now!
Unlike the usual quick shift from scorching heat to winter chill, this October has so far gifted us with a stretch of pleasant mezzu-temp (that perfect in-between weather of the shoulder seasons), complete with dramatic skies and the occasional stormy backdrop.
Looking ahead, the weekend may see isolated showers from late Saturday into Sunday, followed by a dip in temperatures. The mercury is expected to reach a refreshing low of 16°C on Tuesday 7th October – a welcome change from the lingering heat of summer nights, and an excuse to start carrying a light jacket around!
Strong winds are also in the forecast between Monday and Tuesday, with gusts reaching force 6 and whipping up rough seas midweek. While rain chances remain low for much of next week, a few cloudy days could still bring surprises.
Are you enjoying the cooler weather?
