The Maltese Islands are set to enjoy a classic early-summer week, with predominantly sunny skies and light seas.
While temperatures will remain comfortably warm at the start of the week, the most notable feature of the Maltese Islands Weather forecast is the steady rise in temperatures towards the weekend, bringing increasingly hot conditions across the islands.
Tuesday will begin with bright sunshine and a maximum temperature of 30°C, accompanied by a pleasant minimum of 20°C overnight. Light to moderate winds and calm sea conditions will make for excellent weather outdoors. Wednesday will see a few more clouds around, but conditions will remain largely dry and warm, with temperatures again reaching 30°C during the day and 21°C at night.
The warming trend becomes more apparent from Thursday onwards. Temperatures are expected to climb to 31°C, with mainly sunny skies dominating the forecast. By Friday, another sunny day is expected, maintaining highs of 31°C and overnight lows of 21°C. The combination of strong sunshine and light winds will make it feel particularly warm during the afternoon hours.
As the weekend approaches, temperatures are forecast to rise further. Saturday is expected to be one of the hottest days of the week, with temperatures reaching 32°C and a real-feel value of around 35°C. Sunshine will be uninterrupted, creating ideal conditions for beachgoers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The peak of the warm spell is forecast for Sunday, when temperatures are expected to reach 33°C, the highest value of the week. With overnight temperatures remaining elevated at 23°C and a real-feel temperature approaching 36°C, conditions will feel distinctly hot across the islands.
Rainfall is not expected to be a factor throughout the week, with only low rain probabilities and no measurable precipitation forecast. Combined with a consistently high UV index of 9, residents and visitors are advised to stay hydrated, seek shade during the hottest parts of the day, and take appropriate sun protection measures as Malta moves into a noticeably hotter phase of summer weather.
