Talk about a throwback! Do you remember these Maltese ads from the 1970s and early 1990s?
‘Saghtar’ is still being published to this day.

In a series of photos uploaded and taken by ‘Paul Debono Photography’, one can see the various advertisements published on the famous Maltese magazine ‘Saghtar’, from the 1970’s and 1990’s.

Some of the advertisements include products that are still extremely popular in Malta to this day. Two of the advertisement are promoting Kinnie which was labelled as “Malta’s most popular drink”.

One of Malta’s oldest and most iconic companies, Farsons is also shown advertising with the magazine, describing their company as making “six beers that satisfy everyone’s choice”.

Some of Malta’s most favourite and popular juices such as Safari and Selekta were also being advertised. They’ll heighten you sense of nostalgia and put you in the mood for a refreshing juice box.

Gelandia is one of the few products being observed here that is no longer available today. Do you remember eating their ice cream?

Saghtar magazine is still being sold today but the style of advertisements has surely changed significantly from 30 to 50 years ago!
