Take note! Valletta Port closure and limited ferry trips due to the Regatta next Monday
It is advised to plan your trips ahead of time!

Gozo Highspeed has issued an important travel notice for Monday, 8th September, as Valletta prepares to host the annual Regatta celebrations. Due to the closure of Valletta Port on the day, passengers are advised to plan ahead and secure their bookings early, as trips are expected to be busier than usual.

According to the operator, the last departures before the port closure will take place at 11:45am from both Gozo and Valletta, arriving at 12:30pm. Services will then be suspended during the Regatta.

Ferries will resume in the evening, with the first departures at 6:45pm from both ports, arriving at 7:30pm. With limited availability around these times, high demand is anticipated.

Gozo Highspeed is urging travellers to book in advance via gozohighspeed.com to avoid disappointment, particularly if travelling around the scheduled last or first trips of the day.

The Regatta, a traditional rowing race held in the Grand Harbour, draws large crowds each year, and transport disruptions are expected across Valletta.

Will you be watching the regatta this year?
