Step back in time and explore The Strand’s charm in Sliema during the 1900s. These archival photos offer a glimpse into the bustling promenade, where locals and tourists alike strolled along the waterfront, taking in the sea breeze and panoramic views.

The images capture the essence of an era gone by, with elegant Victorian architecture lining the promenade and quaint cafes dotting the shoreline. From leisurely walks to lively gatherings, The Strand was a hub of activity, serving as a social center for the community.

Although Sliema was always a hub of activity, one can witness peacefulness as that era’s ‘busy and bustling’ was very different to that of today’s.
