South America meets the Mediterranean at this top-notch St Julian’s spot

Every single country has its own distinct cuisine, and every single cuisine is synonymous with a unique, defining factor.

Mediterranean food, for example, is all about relatively simple dishes made with the freshest ingredients, whilst South American cuisine holds bold flavours and tasty meats at its core.

Whilst these two styles of cooking couldn’t be more different, beloved St Julian’s eatery Susurrus fused them together in an interesting spread of dishes that truly brings out the best of both worlds.

Susurrus is housed within Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay, giving diners gorgeous views of the nearby beach, a distinct dining environment, and of course, an excellent menu chock-full with creatively delicious dishes.

Guests at Susurrus can choose between an à la carte menu and an eight-course degustation menu, offering a taste of some of the spot’s best offerings.

The restaurant’s dishes include fresh, seafood delights of the likes of sea bass ceviche, seared monkfish, and Argentinian prawns, as well as a healthy selection of meats; we’re talking charcoal-grilled Argentinian beef rib-eye, slow-roasted pork ribs, and a grilled lamb rack, to mention a few.

Susurrus’ desserts follow the same South American-Mediterranean fusion theme, offering anything from cheesecake with acai and dulce de leche to a coconut mousse with pineapple chutney and chocolate.

Thinking of paying this spot a visit?

Susurrus is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 6:30pm and 11pm, and on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm and from 6:30pm to 11pm.
