Sfineg ta' San Guzepp! Have you ever tried a pistachio filled sfinga in Malta?
Will you be trying it?

One of Malta's most popular delicacies during Lent is the sfinga. It's typically prepared for the St Joseph's feast, that is celebrated every year on the 19th March.

The sfinga is a deep-fried dough typically filled with ricotta or even anchovy for those that prefer a saltier taste.

But have you ever heard of a sfinga filled with pistachio cream instead?

Busy Bee, one of Malta’s oldest coffee shops and bakeries, is well known for their traditional sfinga and have now introduced a new twist on this beloved delicacy.

They are now serving it with pistachio cream filling and it looks absolutely delicious!

But fear not as if you wish to have it the traditional way, they’re still offering it in their shops.

Do you prefer it the traditional way or with pistachio?
