Second summer incoming! Weekend highs in Malta to reach 30°C before a chilly midweek drop
Get ready for summer part two!

Francesca Vella

You may have felt the weather get a little balmier recently – it’s not your imagination! As we approach the weekend, the temperature is expected to steadily increase till it hits a maximum of 30°C on Sunday 26th October, feeling like 31°C! So if you’ve been missing summer’s beach days, this might just be your last chance for an October swim – just make sure to check which beaches are safe to swim at.

The final week of October, however, is expected to bring a drop in temperatures again, setting the scene nicely for some cooler nights leading to Halloween, that are expected to drop to real-feel lows of 13°C on Tuesday 28th October – quite the weather whiplash from Sunday!

That’s not all – the night between Monday and Tuesday is expected to bring some strong winds, whipping up northwesterly gusts reaching force 7 late on Monday and early Tuesday, the main culprit behind that temperature drop.

So in true October fashion, we’re in for a mixed bag of weather – better keep both your swimsuit and your jumper handy this week!

Which part of the forecast are you looking forward to?

23rd October 2025
