Jimren, a new Mosta takeaway joint set up by the owner of the iconic San Remo, is giving people a first taste of its menu in time for the Feast of Santa Marija!

The new takeaway is serving up a limited gourmet menu featuring five items – burgers with a USDA beef patty and crispy pancetta, braised horse meat in a traditional ħobża tar-ratal, pulled pork buns, chicken and feta wraps, and premium hot dogs.

Jimren was set up by Chris Borg, the Chef Patron of nearby San Remo, an iconic establishment which is set to close its doors at the end of the month.

While the new outlet will officially open its doors in September, it is taking advantage of festa week to give people a small taste of what’s to come.
