Persisting heat! Temperatures to reach a scorching real feel of 40°C in Malta through the weekend and beyond
Sunday 4th August will bring a slight breeze!

Malta is set to experience a prolonged heatwave, with temperatures expected to maintain a scorching ‘real feel’ of around 40 degrees Celsius over the weekend and into the beginning of next week. According to Maltese Islands Weather, The island will bask in uninterrupted sunshine, characteristic of a Maltese summer, making sun protection and hydration essential for all.

While a slight change in the weather pattern is anticipated on Sunday 4th August, bringing a welcome breeze as the wind shifts to Force 4-5, the respite will be minimal. Despite the increased wind, temperatures will remain high, offering little relief from the oppressive heat. This combination of high temperatures and increased wind speed can create a deceiving sense of coolness, but the actual heat impact will still be significant.

As Malta braces for this extended period of high temperatures, it is crucial for residents and visitors alike to take precautions. Staying indoors during peak afternoon hours, wearing lightweight clothing, and keeping hydrated are simple yet effective measures to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Those heading to the beach or planning outdoor activities should also apply sunscreen generously and frequently, as the UV index is expected to remain high around 9 to 10.

Malta is gearing up for a hot and sunny spell that is expected to extend well into the next week. While a breezy Sunday offers a slight variation in the weather, the overall forecast calls for caution and preparation to enjoy the sunny days ahead safely.

Are you loving the heat or do you prefer winter days?
