Need some wires? 103kg of litter removed from Pembroke Natura 2000 site
Cleanup crews come across the strangest of things…

Kim Vella

A clean-up organised by sustainable fashion organisation Take Off Ltd and Pembroke Natura 2000 saw a whopping 103kg of litter get removed from Pembroke’s coastal area.

The latter organisation took to social media to detail some of the unusual finds the team came across during the clean-up…

“We found broken glass, plastic bottles, glass bottles, rusty wires, boxing gloves, shoes, masks and more,” Pembroke Natura 2000 wrote on social media.

“Well done Take Off Ltd for taking the initiative and thank you for helping the Site Manager keep [the area] as clean as possible,” it continued.

When it’s not embarking on a clean-up, Take Off works on reducing the amount of clothing getting dumped in third world countries.

Next time you go for a coastal stroll, why not take a page out of Take Off’s book and pick up a couple of pieces of litter yourself?

Thank you for this kind act!
