As the last days of November tick away, the Christmas spirit is well and truly on its way. Right on cue, one of the islands’ most anticipated Christmas events has been announced – the live nativity village in Ghajnsielem, Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, now in its 15th edition, will be opening to the public on Sunday 15th December.
The village will be spread across 20,000 square metres of land, where visitors can immerse themselves in the Maltese crib, thanks to beautifully costumed actors, including the Magi in January, bringing the nativity scene to life. Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem is also a celebration of other Maltese folklore and traditions, with typical Maltese refreshments being offered from artisanal stalls around the village.
The opening hours for the nativity village will be as follows:
