Giant puppets are set to take over Għarb this weekend for the third edition of the Gozo International Puppet Festival.

The festival is set to kick off at 6pm this evening at the Għarb parish theatre, followed by a giant puppet show at the Għarb Church Square.

On Saturday, the festival will head to Cittadella, where semi-giant puppets will roam its alleyways between 11am and 2pm before returning to Għarb in the evening.

People will also have the opportunity to get a closer look at the puppet making craft, with a masterclass taking place at Għarb Parish Theatre at 2pm and puppet animation workshops held at various times throughout the day.

The festival reaches its finale on Sunday, when the Għarb Square is set to host a giant puppet parade and a series of shows.
