More time to explore! Dwejra Tower extends summer opening hours for visitors
History buffs rejoice!

Lyndsey Grima

Dwejra Tower has announced extended summer opening hours, giving visitors more opportunities to explore this historic landmark during the warmer months.

Thanks to the support of new volunteers, the tower will now remain open into the afternoon and early evening on selected days.

Entry is completely free, with donations welcome to support the tower’s upkeep and preservation.

This week’s schedule offers a mix of morning and extended afternoon openings. On Monday, 11th August, the tower will be open from 9am to 2pm and again from 3.30pm to 6pm. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will feature longer afternoon sessions, with closing times extended to 7pm.

Saturday visitors can drop by between 10am and 4pm, while Sunday’s early birds can enjoy a special 8.30am to 10am slot.

The initiative aims to make Dwejra Tower more accessible to both locals and tourists, especially those visiting later in the day to enjoy Gozo’s breathtaking coastal scenery.

Whether you’re interested in history, photography, or simply soaking in the views, the extended hours provide the perfect chance to experience this gem in a more relaxed setting.

Have you ever visited Dwejra Tower in Gozo?
