This Maundy Thursday, Mellieħa will be hosting a special event to celebrate Holy Week. The Mellieħa Local Council, in collaboration with the Mellieħa Fireworks team, has announced the second edition of Mixgħela fil-Mellieħa.

At 6:00 PM, the Sanctuary Courtyard will come alive with the warm glow of 7,000 candles, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere.

In the spirit of giving, the Council invites everyone to take part in this heartwarming initiative by making a €1 donation for each candle. All proceeds will go to Puttinu Cares, supporting their valuable work in the community – donations can be made directly at the Council office.

This event will provide the public an opportunity to come together as a community in a quiet, reflective atmosphere, all the while contributing to a worthy cause.
