Months of dryness are also expected.
While talking to TVMnews, meteorological expert, Charles Galdies has predicted that Malta’s upcoming summer is set to start late and finish even later.
He’s also expecting long months of dryness due to the lack of rain Malta is set to experience.
When asked whether such unstable weather this late in May can be attributed to climate change, Professor Galdies explained that this is not the case.
This is more likely associated with a period of weather characterised by ‘false starts’ where waves of heat start arriving before the weather turns again.
That being said, Malta will still experience the repercussions of climate change when summer hits and the temperatures will be even higher.
Are you looking forward to summer?
