Maltese hospitality shines! Here are the 10 local establishments honoured at the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards
Iniala Harbour House was the only spot in Malta to earn a prestigious five-star rating
Maltese hospitality continues to earn global recognition, with 10 local establishments earning a coveted spot in the prestigious 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards. These awards recognise the crème de la crème of hotels, restaurants, and spas worldwide, recognising outstanding service, luxury, and experiences that leave guests craving more.
Leading the way is Iniala Harbour House, the only local establishment to be awarded the ultimate Five-Star rating. Comprising four side-by-side historical houses in Valletta, Iniala’s sweeping views of the Grand Harbour and its uniquely designed rooms were quoted by Forbes as just a few of the reasons that make the hotel deserving of this spot.
Three more hotels secured Four-Star ratings, namely Corinthia Palace Malta – the regal villa located in Attard, The Phoenicia Malta located in Floriana that was built back in the 1940s, and The Westin Dragonara Resort with endless views of the east coast of Malta.
One other establishment that took the Four-Star rating was the S.E.A. Evrima culinary voyage experience that departs from the Valletta Waterfront, promising the dining experience of a lifetime under the capable hands of Ritz-Carlton chef Sven Elverfeld.
Five more Maltese hotels received the ‘Recommended’ distinction. These were AX The Palace (Sliema), Hilton Malta (St Julian’s), Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz (Gozo), Malta Marriott Resort & Spa (Balluta Bay, St Julian’s) and Rosselli – AX Privilege in Valletta.
With so many award-winning options, it’s been made clear that despite its small size, Malta’s certainly big on world-class hospitality!
