October is almost over, and we still haven’t had a decent opportunity to savour proper autumnal weather.

This week, for starters, brought about nothing but sunny skies and high temperatures. Temperatures flirting with the 30°C mark were even registered last Wednesday!

Having said that, local weather page Aggornament tat-Temp has just announced that 5th November should be the day when things start turning around…

5 ta' Novembru. Temperatura tibda tonqos. Aktar dettalji segwu aġġornament tat-temp.

The day is set to bring along declining temperatures and unstable weather conditions – the polar opposite of what we’ve witnessed the past couple of weeks.

Before that, however, Maltese Islands Weather predicts that “yet another weekend of summer-like weather lies ahead” for the country, and the Malta International Airport’s met office agrees.

Saturday and Sunday will bring about highs of 23°C and 24°C, respectively, and lows of 17°C. Winds are also set to remain calm, with a maximum strength of Force Three predicted for both days.
