Malta's women strike twice! Another victory over Georgia at the UEFA Nations League
Victory at Ta' Qali!

Malta’s women’s national football team is on fire! Last night, they clinched another 2–1 victory against Georgia at Ta’ Qali Stadium, marking their second win in a row against the same side in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Coming off a thrilling 3–2 win in Tbilisi just days earlier, the Maltese team brought that same skill to home soil and the fans were there for it!

Captain Rachel Cuschieri kicked things off with her 15th goal for Malta, and rising star Haley Bugeja put away a penalty to double the lead. Georgia’s Mariam Kalandadze narrowed the gap with a goal in the 84th minute, but it wasn’t enough to halt Malta’s momentum.

Next up for Team Malta is Cyprus on Friday 30th May, again at Ta’ Qali Stadium. Malta will be hungry for redemption after a 2–1 loss in Larnaca back in February.
