Malta’s meteorological office, housed within the Malta International Airport, has issued an orange warning in light of today’s rising temperatures.

The warning found on their website, reads as follows: “Be prepared (orange): the maximum temperature today is expected to reach 37°C.”

According to their seven-day forecast, today’s temperature will feel as hot as 41°C and the UV index will reach 10.

Luckily, the temperature is set to drop to 27°C during the evening before dropping further over the following days.  From Friday onwards, the weather will become windy and cloudy, with possible rain showers hitting the islands next Tuesday.

This rise and eventual fall in temperature comes almost a week after rain showers hit parts of Malta and Gozo, subsequently flooding certain areas.

What do you think of this weather?
