Malta breaks the record of highest temperature registered for the third time in a few days
Oof!

Jillian Mallia

Malta has done it again! For the third time in a matter of days, the islands have broken another record (the third one) of the highest temperature registered.

The highest temperature for the month of June was broken for a third time after Malta registered highs of 41.8°C according to It-Temp Madwarna. The weather site also noted that the heatwave will persist in the central Mediterranean.

It-Temp Madwarna also noted that the current temperatures are 12°C higher than the seasonal average. Ajma!

The islands are also close to breaking another record: the longest-lasting heatwave. This will be broken tomorrow which will mark the 12th day of this scorcher.

30th June 2021
