Commending the work of the local health authorities, PM Abela stressed life should go back to a relative normality: "We need to encourage people to get out of the house and make use of services available," PM Abela continued: "If we reopen restaurants, I'll be the first one to go to send a message that it is safe. I do not make an example of the public."

Acknowledging that this is a new normality, PM Abela said there is no reason why life should not continue but insisted social distancing needs to be implemented every step of the way: "I should go to the hairdresser or to the restaurant. It's not going to be a free for all as if the last eight weeks didn't happen. Restaurants will not have the same amount of tables," he said.
