The exhibition will be taking place from the 27th July to the 2nd of August.
Kathryn Baldacchino will present her latest solo exhibition, Lostography: A Passage Through Time, at the Malta Society of Arts in Valletta from 27 July to 2 August 2026.
Featuring a carefully curated collection of 17 photographs, the exhibition explores the passage of time through analogue prints, digital colour photography, and black-and-white images, inviting visitors to reflect on memory, change, and the fleeting nature of everyday moments.

Spread across three exhibition rooms, Lostography is designed as a journey through different photographic approaches. Visitors begin in a vibrant colour gallery before moving into a quieter space dedicated to digital black-and-white works, concluding with hand-printed analogue photographs that highlight the tactile qualities of traditional film photography.
This progression mirrors the artist's own artistic evolution while encouraging viewers to consider how different photographic techniques capture light, texture, and emotion.
Working across both analogue and digital formats, Kathryn Baldacchino personally develops and prints her film photographs by hand, while also embracing the creative possibilities of digital photography. Her work focuses on subtle details found in both natural and urban landscapes, documenting the traces left behind by time and exploring what photography preserves—and what inevitably fades away.
At its heart, Lostography is a meditation on time, memory, loss, and transformation. Each photograph stands on its own while contributing to a broader narrative about photography's ability to capture moments that are constantly slipping into the past.

The exhibition will be held in the Basement Vaults of the Malta Society of Arts, Palazzo de La Salle, Valletta. Admission is free, offering visitors the opportunity to experience Baldacchino's thoughtful exploration of photography and time.
