Beloved Maltese actor, George Micallef has died, aged 76. Reportedly, the veteran entertainer’s family said that he passed during the night.

George was a well-known actor, both on the small screen as well as on the theatre stage, being particularly known as an operetta performer and comedian. He was often featured alongside fellow Valletta actor Hector Bruno. They were like two peas in a pod.

Net News posted a tribute to the late actor just one hour ago, featuring some of his iconic characters and work over the years. “A salute to a friend and colleague… but above all, a gentleman. Rest easy George,” the newsroom wrote.

GuideMeMalta offers its condolences to the family and friends of Mr Micallef.
