Keeping traditions alive! Pavement in Zabbar gets vibrant transformation
A fun game that instantly brings back childhood memories!

Emma Galea

The Haz-Zabbar local council has just given the Zabbar primary school a completely new and vibrant look.

They installed a colourful new hopscotch near the school where the children can play!

Hopscotch otherwise known as passju in Maltese is a beloved game that many Maltese children remember playing all the time. Many kids used to take chalk and draw on the ground and spend hours playing this fun game.

Such installations will continue in helping to keep these traditions alive amongst today’s generations.

Apart from the hopscotch, they also created other paintings including a long white piano among others!
