A kayaking adventure! Local vlogger explores Slugs Bay’s hidden treasures and natural wonders

In a thrilling vlog adventure, our intrepid explorer, Pierre Farrugia, set out on a mission to uncover the hidden gems of Slugs Bay and inspect the Red Cross Emergency HUB. Launching a kayak from the sandy shores of Ghadira Bay, the journey commenced along the splendid coastline.

Pierre’s first notable encounter was Mellieha Bay resort, currently undergoing renovation, promising an exciting transformation. Continuing the paddle, the local vlogger also came across a World War II beach on top of Imgharqin Bay.

Navigating towards a popular small bay, the vlogger marvelled at the picturesque sight of an ancient fortification wall on the opposite side. However, reaching the Red Cross Emergency HUB turned out to be a bittersweet moment. The area was restricted and reserved solely for authorised personnel, which left the vlogger disappointed at the lost opportunity to immerse in its natural beauty.

Undeterred, the journey pressed on, offering breathtaking views of rugged cliffs. The vlogger cautioned the viewers to tread carefully, as the cliffs proved to be delicately fragile.

Finally, the destination of Slugs Bay was reached, concealed behind imposing rocks. Yet, the kayaker's perseverance paid off as a sandy beach and a cool cave provided the ideal respite from the scorching 40'C heat.

With the refreshing swim and break complete, it was time to head back, but not without relishing the memories of an enchanting location that, for a fleeting moment, belonged entirely to our adventurous vlogger.

Have you ever been kayaking around Slugs Bay?
