An amazing programme of Christmas and New Year’s Eve festivities being organised from 1st December right up until 6th January in Gozo has just been announced, and judging by what's in store, it's looking like the sister isle is definitely going to be THE place to be this festive season!

Apart from some great Christmas markets (be sure to grab some traditional goodies) and crib exhibitions, one of the best bits of the exciting programme is what the island has in store for New Year’s Eve. And that's because international artist Jonas Blue, known for his songs Mama, Rise and Polaroid has been confirmed to ring us into the New Year! The amazing NYE event will be held in Victoria’s main square, with other Gozitan artists like The Travellers, Ganni & The Crosswalk Gang performing live alongside Jonas, creating what we are sure will be an unforgettable atmosphere!

Bringing to an end a very successful year of jam-packed events attracting locals and tourists alike to Gozo, the Christmas and NYE activities will be no different. In fact, Malta’s sister isle has been promoted as ‘the perfect destination’ to spend Christmas and New Year’s, and we can see why!

Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana revealed that these events have been in the works for months, and have included the participation of governmental, private and voluntary entities. The Minister also says that the programme is based on true Christmas values and traditions, with a special spotlight on Gozitan traditions, typical local products and cultural talent.

Will you be heading to the sister isle this festive season?
