It’s official! X Factor Malta final will have a Maltese theme!
We’re just expecting to be blown away, honestly.

The first edition of X Factor Malta has been one wild ride! With the final just around the corner, we can’t wait to see who takes home the trophy. Every week, each live show had a different theme, and the one chosen for the final is none other than a Maltese theme!

Locals are super excited to hear the four finalists - Michela Pace, Nicole Frendo, Owen Luellen and Petra - belt out a Maltese song next week! Many Facebook followers are saying it’s a very appropriate theme and are hoping for innovative songs rather than “the same four popular ones.”

Local lyricist Emil Calleja Bayliss, the writer of last year's popular 'Kewkba' sung by Janice Mangion shared the same sentiment and we're right behind him!

We’ll just have to wait until the weekend to find out! The finalists are also expected to sing a cover like past weeks and a duet with a guest. It was also announced that an international act will also be performing on the night! This should be one heck of a show!

Yesterday’s performances brought the house down, with powerhouses Michela and Nicole being favourites among voters.

Kelsey Bellante and Ben Purplle’s journey on X Factor Malta ended after the first round. Luke Chappell, the youngest contestant on X Factor Malta made it through to the second round, but was cut after round two, together with fellow-category contestant, Norbert.
