Written by Malcolm Galea, the musical features a boċċi club that is battling two fronts
A Maltese musical about a struggling boċċi club is returning this June for a limited run.
Boċċi Il-Musical was performed at a number of boċċi clubs last summer and it will run from 18th to 21st June at the Montekristo Estate, with tickets now on sale.
It features a boċċi club that is battling two fronts: its last remaining star player, Osmar il-Kanadiż, has injured his wrist and a looming development project threatens to swallow up the pitch.

However, architect Martha then turns up and expresses a determination to save the boċċi club at all costs, although her true intentions are unclear.
The musical is written by Malcolm Galea, who also co-directs it alongside Philip Leone-Ganado, while Matthew James composed the music.
“Those who didn’t attend the first time because they were afraid that we would hit them instead of the likk can now rest assured that we’ve become experts of the game,” the show quipped.
