The Malta International Fireworks Festival is coming to an end on Thursday (30th April) with a grand finale over the Grand Harbour.

Malta Public Transport will be operating extended late-night services on the night, ensuring people can return home safely and comfortably after the event.

Additional bus departures will be scheduled well into the early hours of the morning, with certain routes operating until around 2.10am, including services linking Valletta with Sliema, St Julian’s, Birkirkara and Mosta.

Other late-night connections will serve northern areas including Mellieħa, and southern localities such as Marsaskala, Żejtun and Żurrieq, providing broad coverage across the island during peak post-event travel times.

Malta Public Transport used the occasion to remind passengers that its night network is a convenient and reliable alternative to private transport for late-evening travel throughout the year.

The night bus network, whose routes are identified by an ’N' has recently been expanded with additional routes and increased frequency on existing services. Night routes link key nightlife and urban hubs such as Valletta, Sliema, St Julian’s and Buġibba with several residential localities, including Birkirkara, Mosta, Qormi, Żebbuġ, Żejtun, Marsaskala, Mellieħa and Ħamrun.
