Get ready for a good dose of tradition, creativity, and hands-on fun as Gozo celebrates the return of the Gozo Ceramics Festival. This edition of this beloved event will take place in two exciting parts, shining a spotlight on Malta’s growing community of ceramic artists.

The celebration begins on Friday 1st August at 8:00pm with the official opening of the Gozo Ceramics Exhibition at the Cittadella Cultural Centre in Victoria. This beautifully curated display features works by over 30 artists, from established names to emerging young talents. Visitors can explore a wide spectrum of styles and techniques, from the traditional to the experimental, throughout the month of August, as the exhibition remains open to the public until the end of the month.

On Saturday 2nd August, the action moves to the picturesque setting of Xlendi Bay for the 12th Annual Gozo Ceramics Festival, taking place from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. This open-air event welcomes over 40 ceramic artists who will demonstrate their craft in real time and invite the public to join in through hands-on activities and interactive workshops.

Visitors of all ages can try their hand at clay modelling, learn about traditional pottery techniques, and watch exciting live performances – including a one-of-a-kind show by an international artist who will demonstrate pottery throwing… while cycling!

The evening will also include live music, brass bands, folk dance, and a festive atmosphere that transforms peaceful Xlendi into a buzzing centre for art and culture for the night.

Will you be there?
